Hello, everyone 😀 I’m glad you stopped by! Over the course of the next few weeks, I’m doing research on the preferences of artists and coloring enthusiasts with certain tools and could really use your help by answering a few simple multiple-choice questions. For your generosity, I’m offering prizes for three lucky winners! Pictured below, you’ll see I’m giving away two copies of Zentagle for Kids (just as useful for adults, if you ask me!), and a “Writer Side Up!” notebook 😎 Continue reading

Hildie + The Corner Bookstore “Spells” FUN!
OK, with a title like this and such stunning artwork, much like the Imperius Curse (though not sinister!), you simply CAN’T RESIST picking up this book! As you know, I don’t do book reviews (ahem—just so you know—I LOVE this book!), so that’s not what this is. What it is, is a celebration of the release of Hildie Bitterpickles Needs Her Sleep!
In my opinion, there’s one thing that can definitely “cast a spell” on any book lover and that’s a BOOK LAUNCH! It’s even more “magical” when it’s an AMAZING book! And that’s what author Robin Newman and illustrator Chris Ewald‘s book is—AMAZING 😀 Continue reading
UP!–NJSCBWI 2016 Conference Personal Schedule Template for Download!
Wow! Can you believe it? It’s that time of year again! Registration recently opened for the 2016 June New Jersey SCBWI Conference 😎  A few of you may remember that last year was the first time I posted my Personal Schedule Templates for download, including helpful background info so you can understand why I did and what qualifies me to do so. I’m VERY happy to report that at last year’s conference I met the extraORdinarily talented Mike Ciccotello and got super excited when I saw him pull out the schedule! He told me he saw others using it, too, so that was enough for me to feel it was worth my time 😀 . Yay!
With that said, for those of you who like this type chart to help get you through the weekend in smooth fashion, I’m pleased to present this year’s versions for you:  Continue reading
UP!–My First Book of 2016
Well, it’s that time of year again, and I’m very happy to say that Sheila at Book Journey is hosting one of the few memes I participate in: “First Book of the Year.”
I participated pre-blog launch in 2014, then again in 2015 and hope to participate every year. It’s fun to do and helps me decide which book to read next, which is always torturous for me ’cause my TBR is so long! If you have the same problem, you may want to try it 😎 Continue reading
UP! — KIDLIT TV Turns 1!
Every once in a great while, my timing is just right 😀 By an off chance, in the least expected way, I was fortunate to have met KidLit TV founder Julie Gribble (at first, thinking she worked for the Princeton Public Library). I liked her right off, one thing led to another and she was kind enough to extend to me an invitation to attend a very special event—the KidLit TV 1st Birthday party 😎
Was I excited to go? You betcha! Did I have a great time? YOU BETCHA! 😀 In fact, I was Continue reading
