Well, it’s been quite a whirlwind of activity for me lately, but largely joyful stuff, I must say, so I’m not complaining πΒ I’ve just been BUSY! Between prepping for the Princeton Book Festival and actually attending it, unexpectedly going to Books of Wonder the following day (I’ll be blogging about both!), various appointments and family visiting, my “dance card” had been full π
I’m really looking forward to sharing the two big events with you, which also means two big blog posts, but before I dig into composing them, I wanted to announce the random winners of my little “Blogversary” giveaway π
I’m happy to announce the three winners of 3 bookmarks:
Tina (Light and Life Bible Ministries)
and
Robin Newman π
Yay!!!
And the winner of a copy of Jill Elizabeth Nelson‘s Rivet Your Readers with Deep Point of View is:
Pam (Roughwighting) π
It’s a lot of fun for me to give away goodies, big or small. Congratulations to the winners! I hope you enjoy them. All you need to do is contact me with your mailing addresses π

I hope you enjoy it, Ste J π I can’t comment on other Book Festivals centered largely around KidLit, but I’ve heard so many are wonderful, too. The Princeton one is the one I love and am familiar with, and even according to the authors and illustrators featured, it is “amazing” π
And, Ste J, considering how astounding Brit KidLit has been through the decades, there are no festivals similar to these over there?

There may be, you always remind me to look for them but with my work schedule as it is, it makes it a challenge to get there…one day I will though!

Whoa! I’m feeling Happy and LUCKY! Whooo Hoo. So glad I’m a winner. THANK you. And I look forward to hearing about these book events. The last ones I attended were in the SF bay area, but now I’m living on the East Coast.

Pam, I’m glad you’re a winner, too π And if you’re on the East Coast now, you’ve got your pick of many book festivals! The one I frequent is in Princeton–so far π I’m working on the post today and hope to finish it tonight. There’s SO much to enjoy about these events!

And Princeton is such a lovely town. I used to live in southern and then northern NJ. Princeton was always a special trip.

From everything I’ve seen of Princeton over the years, it’s a beautiful place. It’s become the hub of most of our NJ SCBWI events, including our conferences and I hope it stays that way. Just love it π I hope to see you at an event!

And I’m REALLY looking forward to sharing them, Erik π I thought I’d have them up last night, but it always takes longer than I think it will. I should be able to finish it today and have the first up tonight π

I read your Princeton post . . . ugh!! Long, happy, book centric piece of . . . good writing that made me want to pick up and go to it next year. But I can’t which is why I say UGH! You make them sound 100, 50% better than they probably are, but I love your enthusiasm. I live in a no-book-area. It stinks, but not your post. So I vicariously go to these events through you. Hope you don’t mind me tagging along.

I’m VERY happy you’re tagging along, Sue π That’s the purpose of me doing the post in the first place! So those who couldn’t be there can “experience” it π And I have to tell you—I don’t think I’ve exaggerated how great this festival is π
