Well, gang, it’s one of my favorite times of year again 😀 Yep, as you can plainly see — unless, of course, the post title and this little image of Peter and Paul Reynolds somehow escaped you 😉 — it’s International Dot Day!
Once I launched my blog, I was able to participate in this worthwhile event, so I made dots—most gleefully—in 2014 and 2015. Since I first learned about it, having interviewed Terry Shay, the creator of the celebration, I was compelled to make my mark, so here I am, my third year in, with another dot 😎
Festivities abound all over the internet today on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere. I hope you get a chance to enjoy the celebration on some level, one way being to visit the Celebri-dots page and search the archives. There are SO many wonderful dots posted there by published authors and illustrators 🙂
So tell me, what are your feelings about promoting creativity in schools—and life? That’s what Dot Day is all about 😀
Happy Int’l Dot Day, Donna! Love your beautiful dot.

Yay for dots and learning, you’re never too long or too old for either!

I’m sorry I’m late to comment, but I did see your email come through on the day, and was surprised at how quickly the year has passed. I’m sure you had a fabulously dotty day!

Norah, there’s NEVER a need to apologize! I appreciate you stopping by and commenting no matter WHEN it is! 😀
And it was such a fun day, the highlight being the two videos KidLit TV put up with Peter Reynolds. They’re just fantastic 😀

Hi Donna, I couldn’t get your links to work but I did a search and found a couple of videos – inspirational. Thank you. 🙂

Hmmm…OK, that’s making me wonder what the problem is. They appear as the videos here, not links, and they play here on the page. Weird! I guess if you just go to the KidLit TV YouTube page directly, you’ll find ALL their wonderful stuff, including Peter’s 🙂

Thanks, Sue 🙂 I went with my first thought and didn’t brainstorm after that, so there you have it 🙂

Beautiful dot, Donna! I never heard of Dot Dat before! 🙂 It’s a great idea!
I didn’t see this post on the reader! (I’m avoiding the reader because it keeps reminding me that I have to catch up with SOOOOO many posts 😀 )

Thanks, Paola 🙂 I don’t look at my reader anymore for the same reason, and it never works right anyway. I have a whole system of how I follow blogs manually, but haven’t been able to resume my schedule with it yet 😦 I only follow a few blogs by email so I don’t get more overwhelmed than I am! Life simply doesn’t allow time for all the things we want to do.
